Alright people, the truth, do you ever sleep??

I have just started this blogging stuff and with all the posting, and tweaking, and reading, and commenting, and picture taking, and figuring out how to add pics off the internet, I have NO time for anything else!! I need help, I am addicted! Reading blogs is like eating potato chips, you cant just read one. It is only a matter of time before the Hubs figures out that the reason he has no clean socks is because I was too busy trying to make my blog the "cutest blog on the block"!
And if you are indeed sleeping, and dont have those extra 7 to 8 hours a night, I need your hints, your suggestions, and your tricks for getting at least a little housework done while still having time for your blog.
If things don't change quickly I am afraid "our really empty nest" of 2 is going to become "my really lonely nest of 1".
Help me out here gals!
Thanks, Sue

hi Sue! Now you see, thats why I deleted my blog, I just came back to post for the inauguration! I watch my 18 month old grandbaby 4 days a week and just had no time to blog let alone READ blogs and follow up with visits! Its addictive to say the least! I was even dreaming about blogs ALL NIGHT LONG! So how much quality sleep was I getting?? LOL!! See, right now I should be in the shower getting ready for Amelia, and here I sit, I've been up since 5am and its 6:30! If you want time to fly then just sit at the computer LOL! Good luck to you, I have no advice on how to multi-task, there will just have to be at least one day a week set aside to clean, just walk away from the computer! I have often wished mine would just break, then I would be a basketcase cuz I couldn't read my email! LOL!! And I have just been computering for 3 years! Oh well, Have a good day Sue!!

Oh dear...I can't help you with that problem b/c I have it too. I will say that some of it does wear off though...once you get things like you want them. At 1st, I'd be up until 3-4 a.m. And as a warning, "blogger butt" is a side effect.

Well, you succeeded in acquiring the title of "Cutest Blog on the Block" I love what you have done!
I can't even get my background the right color! I need to revamp!
I too am suffering from the not getting the housework and dinner ready in time syndrome! As a matter of fact Joe was just saying yesterday that I need to make out a menu so we know what we are having for dinner....My response...Let me look up some new recipes on the computer, but let me check my email first...and then the cycle continues!
So, in other words....No help from me!

Welcome to blogland - like Tar said it does wear off (a bit, only a bit!!) I think when I first started, I changed my background hourly!! I compose blog posts at night before I go to sleep, at work - shhh, don't tell I do a LOT of blogging at work - I simply love it!!
Have fun with it and visit often - I love new blogger buddies!!

Welcome! Sorry, can't help you with this one. I'm one of those people who gets by on about 6 hours of sleep a night, used to come home and take a power nap, but now I blog instead lol. It does wear off a tiny bit, but not for awhile and just a TINY bit. Just remember, the crock pot is your friend haha. We have had an empty nest for 2 1/2 yrs now, and I still cook too much food for 2 people. I usually just take the leftovers for lunch the next day. Thanks for stopping by, drop in for a cup and a chat anytime! Kathy

Hi Sue! Thanks for your visit and dropping me a line! Mmmm tips from someone who is addicted too...
* I use the google reader to keep up with reading blogs. This doesn't save time actually, but it is efficient.
* I don't add every gadget to my blog. I think my readers have to be sattisfied with the contents of my posts and the photos in that post. Remember that a lot of people will read your blog through the reader and see nothing but your post.
* When I first started blogging I tried to make as many posts as possible. Later on I discovered that in my life about one post a week is enough to maintain other things as well.

I totally agree with you that it is so much fun to talk with people (read women) from all around the world. There is such a positive vibe going on.
Good luck on blogging and have fun, cheers LiLi

Hi,I think I found my way to your blog from Lynette's and when I read your post ,I just had to comment.I,with very little thought, created a blog a couple of months ago.I didn't make my first post until about 2 weeks ago and I haven't made another one yet.I have been wondering the same things as you spoke of,it is time consuming.I was feeling frustrated today,I want to just "get blogging" but I don't know much and it takes time to learn.I have been temporarily working full time and I don't have that much time left in the day.I just wanted to say that you made me feel better being honest in saying the time involved to do all of this especially with no formal computer education(for me anyway).I'm just going to plug along slowly.I figure that there are so many great blogs to read now that what is the difference if I post infrequently. It isn't as if everyone is just sitting there with nothing to read waiting for me!hehe Anyway,I'm going to follow you,I want to see where you go from here.Cyndi
