Oh Happy Day!!

I just discovered that a new radio station STAR 93.3 in Cincinnati has started playing Christmas music, 24/7.

Let me just say that I LOVE Christmas Music! I have been known to listen to it as early as......the 4th of July, there I said it!! Now I know many of you, perhaps all of you, will think I am NUTS, CRazy even, but I have always just loved the music of the Holiday. I love the religous stuff, the silly fun songs, all of it!
I thought I would have to wait until Thanksgiving to be able to turn my car radio to an all Christmas station, but Oh Happy Day, I saw on FaceBook today that there was a station that has already started playing it and I wasted no time turning it on, and it has been on alll day long!!
I love the old stuff by Bing!
And the new stuff

What is your favorite Christmas song?? My favorite non-religous song has to be Santa Baby, by Eartha Kitt

It is a fun song, and I love it! My favorite traditional Christmas song is...gosh I dont know, I will have to think about it and post about it later, I like so many!
Please dont judge me, other than this, I am a pretty normal gal, lol!
Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to hearing about your favorite! Sue

I love Christmas music too. My favorite "non-traditional" Christmas music is Ellington's reworking of the Nutcracker Suite (Three Suites, Duke Ellington), but Santa Baby is right up there. My favorite traditional would be either What Child is This (Greensleeves) or Go Tell it on the Mountain. Thanks for posting this, I'm off to dig up my Ellington CD! Kathy

I'm crazy about Christmas music, too, and I play it year 'round. I love the hymns best, but I also love Nat King Cole. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite hymn, but "O Come All Ye Faithful" has a line that always makes me feel close to my parents who are at the big celebration in Heaven.

I like "Sleigh Ride" and "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire" among others. Can't wait to play it on my blog!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Oh my- a radio station is playing Christmas music already? A bit early for my taste. Although I enjoy most holiday music~ I want to hear it DURING the holidays! LOL Was out antique shopping today in Waynesville, OH- most of the merchants are gearing up for a holiday open house in a week! Now, even though I've had my autumn decor up for several months already, I'm not sure I am ready to start shopping for Christmas. Give me a few weeks, though...

I've stopped by your blog before- I forgot that you lived close to Cincy.
:-) Sue
